This is a great improvement.
It wasn't easy to fit everything in the litlle housing but it was worth the effort.
Looks cool too, with the antenna attached.
All receivers fire proparly. In the beginning there were a lot of no-fires. (bought the unit second hand for € 20,= with 2 receivers)Thought it was worth to try.

Thanks for the great tutorial/modification

Any chance someone can just make a binary available for everyone else to download? It seems crazy that everyone has to jump through hoops to compile their own PHP with openssl.
Any kind soul out there?

Dave,
I can't seem to replicate the same problem on my end. I'm on XP Pro SP3, it may make a diff. if you are on Vista, but I don't have a Vista box to test on. Either way, try changing the catch block to show a message box if there is an error. It may help determine what is going on. Replace "catch(err){ }" with the code below and see if it helps.

catch(err)
{
    WScript.Echo("Error occurred\nCode: " + hex(err.number) +
                          "Description: " + err.description);
}

Like I said, I've tried with many more files than just two and it works for me. Let me know if you get an error message and we can go from there.

Thanks for your input!

Hi Deciacco,

You workaround works fine for two files, but not 3 or 4.

Unless it's just my system not working very well, it just does nothing when I select more than 2 files.

Thanks

Wish I'd thought of that! I wondering why they would do that. If that is the case, it wouldn't be that hard to write a search form that pulls results from EE and removes some of the formatting to show all the comments.

I found this issue immensely frustrating until I discovered that all Experts-Exchange responses are visible if you View Page Source. Now I can tap the excellent resources of Experts-Exchange without paying a dime.

I just stumbled on this a few weeks ago after some headaches with my Cactus V2s.. and have to offer a big thank you for posting this. I found it was actually quite easy to do, and got my set of 'helping hands' from the free standing cold shoe plate that came with my 430EX (made soldering a TON easier). Range is better, but above all else, reliability and repeatability have been the two biggest improvements. All three of my receivers fire 99% of the time now, as opposed to only a random mix. I definitely recommend this mod to anyone who opted for the cactus wireless triggers.

Mathias: I get the same error as you when I try to send multiple files. I don't think Outlook parameters allow for multiple files to be sent, but I may have a workaround. Please visit my blog again as I have updated the post to include this new method. Give it a try and let me know how it goes.

Thanks!

This works if I want to send one file, but when I try to send multiple files Outlook give me an error message "The command line argument is not valid. Verify the switch you are using." Do you know why this is happening, and more importantly, do you know how to solve this problem?

I'm not sure what happened, but it sounds like your router is bricked. Do a search on google for "linksys dd-wrt debrick". I've had good luck with debricking routers. I've been able to debrick at least two using the "shorting out the pins" method. Search around on the net. I've found instructions for a different versions than the one I had that worked anyway. This may be a start: http://www.linksysinfo.org/forums/showthread.php?t=47259. I remember one debricking method that required you take a wire and connect it to one of the antenna connectors and then attach it to pin 16 on the chip. Anyway, be patient and give it a try. It took me several tries and it got quite frustrating. If this doesn't work out you can always buy a WRT54GL. I've had to do this too!!

Good luck!
